Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We began with an er/ir conjugation exercise. Roughly 20 known and unknown er/ir verbs were provided and full conjugation trees were expected. We then conversed together about the translations, cognates, and mnemonic devices to remember what they mean and constructions on how to use them. We then reviewed the unit's vocabulary words, quite quickly I might add, the student was on top of her vocab. We even had enough time for new constructions with some of our prepositions to make compound and complex sentences. I wrote new sentences, we read them aloud, and then tried to translate the sentences accurately, literally, and even colloquially."
"We covered food vocabulary and indirect and direct object pronouns. The student did very well with indirect object pronouns. At the beginning of the session, his main question was where to place them in the sentence. After working together, he was not only identify indirect objects in sentences, but he was also translating and creating original sentences using indirect object and direct object pronouns with 100% accuracy."
"This session was spent editing her research paper for tomorrow. We will meet again tomorrow to complete the task. We took it from outline to draft today. We'll move from draft to final tomorrow."
