Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We worked on a variety of reactions. We spent a good amount of time working to fully understand what nucleophile and electrophile mean in the context of electron movement. We worked on electron pushing mechanisms for several different reactions and reviewed how electron rich atoms may force reactions to occur."
"During the session, we reviewed the problems that the student had difficulty with on his recent test. We also identified some cases in which his teacher graded harshly. His teacher agreed to raise his grade as a result. By the end of the session, he also seemed to have a better understanding of the more conceptual questions on the exam."
"The student and I covered ecology and the organization of life. We discussed the direction her class is going and what we should be covering in the next few weeks. She surprised me with how well she knew the subject since she had reviewed it before I came. I think that we're making great moves towards her learning how to study science subjects and how to absorb the information and integrate it with what we already reviewed. I left her with my notes and told her to prepare to review it next session."
