"[COVERED]: We covered 2 verbal passages, one on a revisionist history of the last czar, and one on Descartes' epistemology. I tried to work with the student on filling vocab gaps, including word deconstruction, and on using grammatical cues to rearrange sentences so they read more simply. [PROGRESS/CHALLENGES]: The student clearly is remembering the lion's share of the vocab we discuss. [EXTRA PRACTICE]: More verbal passages."
"We worked on several Critical Reasoning Questions as well as one tough reading comprehension. We did math for half the time, hitting some intermediate/hard geometry and data sufficiency questions."
"The student's conceptual knowledge is solid, but she must review the mechanics of algebraic manipulation of terms and variables. She would benefit from using the test prep site's quiz bank. I covered percents, ratios, fractions, and linear equations. She understood these concepts well, but she required assistance in converting the problem into algebra equations and ratios. Overall, she will reach her goal if she continues to practice in a consistent and frequent way."
