Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I had a great session. We talked about conic sections, parabolas, other shapes, and generic formula, and how to graph them. We talked about the directrix, the vertex, and the focus of parabolas. His assignment for math before our next session is to come up with three conic section formulas that would graph to make a Mickey Mouse's head. In chemistry we talked about colligative properties. We worked through several examples of boiling point elevation and freezing point depression. His assignment is to be able to explain molecularly why the colligative properties work the way they do! Our next session is scheduled for Sunday at 2pm."
"We covered the animal kingdom and specifically looked at the different classes of worms, vertebrates, and sponges. The student was having some difficulty with the sponge family but he had a knack for obtaining a way to organize and grasp the material. He got a 94 on his exam which was a big improvement from his last exam."
