Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"To review, Student 1, Student 2, and I went over our ABCs, along with our colors. With regards to animal vocabulary, I decided to expand our word range by adding farm animals, along with house pets. I introduced more animal words in Spanish by reading stories to them. We ended our session with counting up to 20, and the kids succeeded in demonstrating improvement."
"Today, as our usual sessions, we started by telling each other how are week/weekend was. Every time I meet up with the student I get amused by her knowledge of the language. I have noticed and even she said it today that now she feels more comfortable speaking in front of me and she does not get as nervous as the first sessions. Almost at the end of the session we read the newspaper in Spanish. Looking forward for our next session."
"The student and I went over telling time and body parts. He also learned how to say where a certain body part was. He is progressing greatly!"
"Began work on Ch. 7: La Vida/Diario, did homework focusing on vocabulary and reflexive verbs; covered basic resume structure, federal resume structure and specific changes pertaining to the student's resume. The student did really well with her homework - I was especially impressed with how easily she was able to recognize parts of speech and conjugate verbs. Huge improvement!!"
"We reviewed negatives and prepositions. We also reviewed the uses of por and para. The student did a great job with fill in the blank exercises and translating phrases from Spanish to English. We also reviewed nature related vocabulary words."
"We learned principles about nominativ akkusativ and dative again and used them in some exercises. The student did very well and showed a very good understanding of nominativ and akkusativ. She will prepare the dative case using the website."
