Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We continued working on multiplying greater numbers and dividing greater numbers without remainders. Today we started working on the concept of multiplying two digit numbers by two digit numbers. We made the connection between the distributive method, which she already understood. She grasped this concept very well. We also worked on dividing greater number. She understood the concept, however more guided practice would be beneficial. I assigned ten problems for her to work on, which will reinforce the concepts learned during this session."
"Today the student and I worked on his homework, they started a new concept, solving using the quadratic equation. We spent the entire time working and graphing out the homework questions but he was able to complete it by the time our session ended."
"We worked on several topics including vertical line test, linear equation word problems, piecewise functions, and logarithm rules. The student did well with the material. She picks things up quickly and masters them easily through practice."
"Today the student and I worked on her math and chemistry homework. She is still working on the graphing and deriving of liner equations. I will continue to work with her on repetition of these aspects. In addition to math the student completed her chemistry homework involving balancing chemical equations. She caught on fairly quickly and completed the homework easily."
"The student was given review work for her upcoming final. We worked through the problems together. We discussed extrema and point of inflections and I clarified the steps involved in finding those. She initially forgot how to do optimization problems but with a brief reminder she was able to do the problems with little help."
"The student and I worked on test corrections on her last geometry test. The test was 4 proofs which she has struggled with. We went through the steps necessary in each proof to prove that various triangles are congruent. She grasped this better by the end but she still needs to work on memorizing the reasons for certain steps."
