Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I went over previous Spanish exams to reinforce the fundamentals. We also reviewed the subjunctive tense using a pneumonic device."
"We practiced the differences between ser/estar with practice exercises and more examples. I taught the student the present progressive tense through visuals and practice exercises. We also worked on stem changing and irregular verbs. I left some extra practice and two worksheets for homework."
"On our last session, the student and I reviewed vocabulary related to verbs/activities in Spanish. We went over each word and definitions along with pronunciation. I also introduced the expressions "I like" and "I do not like" in Spanish. I wanted her to learn these expression so she can start forming complete sentences using these expressions combined with the vocabulary words that she already knows. The student successfully formed complete sentences in Spanish using "I like". Finally, we went over a reading in Spanish that included distinct vocabulary words that she has been learning during the past tutoring sessions."
"Today, in our Spanish tutoring lesson we covered colors in Spanish, greetings in Spanish, and numbers. In order to note progress in my students, I made them repeat and pronounce each word after I said the word. The students were mostly struggling with writing the numbers, but after I practiced with them each number, they all were very excited of their achievement. I did leave the kids with homework to complete for next time. I did not have any concerns with this session."
"We had our first tutoring session today. We went over some stuff that the student already studied in her class, such as: greeting people at different times of the day, introducing ourselves to others, use of numbers, telling time, and identifying parts of the body. We also reviewed the days of the week, the months of the year, and the seasons of the year."
"The student and I had a good and successful conversation in German about articles he has been reading and other spontaneous subjects of interest. It is clear that his ability is increasing to express himself with wider vocabulary and fluidity. We then worked in the book Klaro, continuing where we had left off, and worked through the relative pronouns section. We then looked at the section on Essen in "Conversation" and worked partway through Ex.4.3."
