Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"On this session the student wanted to practice her communication skills in Spanish. Therefore, we spent time holding conversations in the target language where she was talking to me in Spanish and applying the vocabulary that she already knows. I corrected her pronunciation and accentuation when a word was being mispronounced. We also went over those mispronounced words and I provided her different examples of how to apply them in distinct sentences. Additionally, we reviewed the word's different meanings in Spanish. Overall, she did a pretty good job communicating in Spanish and forming complete sentences."
"We did some reading, writing, listening, and speaking practice today. We focused on vocabulary and the reflexive, reciprocal, and impersonal uses of "se". I assigned the student a reading passage and questions for homework. Great job!"
"We did more vocabulary building today and practiced conjugating verbs in the present tense, along with going over question words. I asked her to create flashcards to build her vocabulary and to find the Spanish equivalents of a vocabulary list we created together."
"Today we did a review of everything we have done in the past lessons, including covering numbers, days of the week, months, and other vocabulary words as well as conjugations of verbs in the present tense."
"We worked on listening comprehension. I then explained to her the method of quoting someone while storytelling using "que si" or "que no". We also did a role-playing exercise where I pretended to be a Spanish-speaking patient suffering from chest pain. We practiced words and sentence structure used in this scenario."
"The student and I reviewed numbers 1-10 and greetings. She's doing better with pronunciation, and has made good progress this week. We went over J'aime and Je fais and the numbers 11-100. For a challenge, she should teach her mother to count up to 100 in French."
