Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student received the results of his Spanish exam. We studied the verbs "gustar" and "querer" . Today we spent the whole hour reviewing the material. I wrote exercises for the student to answer. He struggled at first but I felt that he became more and more comfortable with the material. If he seriously studies for his exam, I think he will be fine."
"The student is largely caught up in his math class, but had a Spanish quiz coming up, so we devoted most of the session reviewing the material. Right now the class is covering preterite and imperfect conjugation of verbs and when to apply which. We reviewed the proper conjugation, which the student seems to have a good grasp of and also worked on determining when to use the imperfect or preterite tenses. He still needs to do a little review, but definitely showed significant improvement."
"This was my initial session was the student. We discussed some general concepts about Spanish as a language. I gave her the verbs ser and estar to begin with, as well as family terms. We went over definite and indefinite articles. I provided her with ways to study and an online workbook with homework for next week. At the beginning of the lesson, she took a diagnostic questionnaire, and scored highest on the aural, followed by read/write. We built her lessons and study plans on this. We will meet again next Sunday."
