Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today was the final session before the student's state assessment exam. We reviewed the remainder of the study guide that she had finished since our last meeting. We discussed key themes and concepts, especially from the global II portion of the course, that she felt she was not 100% sure of. We practiced many sample questions, and finished by working on DBQ questions and answers. She is ready to take and pass this test!!!"
"The student is watching the film "The Last Emperor" in her World History class and she needed more context to understand the plot. We spent the hour exploring the meaning of communism and The Cultural Revolution in China. I believe that she's starting to understand the relationship between abstract ideas and facts very well. A good session as usual."
"The student has been doing an excellent job of staying on task during our sessions. He actively asks me to go over anything that he has questions on, a skill that tells me he is aware of what he does know and doesn't know. A skill that is very useful. We covered the chapter on 19th century imperialism and happenings in Asia and Latin America. We then solidified the material through a brief review and watched a crash course on imperialism."
