"The student needed help studying for her French written test. We quizzed on vocabulary, and a little bit on verbs."
"We continued our study on vocabulary of the 4 seasons. We practiced business conversations using our current grammar lessons. After that, we practiced conversations that might be held at a restaurant."
"Today we continued to review the basic grammar principles the student learned in French 1. We discussed masculine and feminine nouns, definite and indefinite articles, as well as adjective-noun agreement. We then practiced forming sentences with the vocabulary she previously studied. Finally we read through a model dialogue reviewing these concepts. (We touched very briefly on possessive pronouns, but I think we need to review this topic in greater depth next time.) The student once again impressed me with her diligence and quick thinking. She did a great job reviewing last week's material on her own and was able to combine many concepts quickly. As she continues to review I would remind her to pay attention to the accent marks associated with certain words, as they are an important part of the words' spelling. I did not assign any specific exercises for her to complete as she will be busy with school exams next week, but I referred her to a website where she can access many review materials taken directly from the book if she wishes. If she does study the materials from the website I suggest she do so with headphones so she can listen to the audio portions as well. When we meet again in two weeks we will see how she is doing with the new class. I think she has a great foundation to begin studying French 2 and I wish her the best of luck!"
