"With Student 1 we first reviewed the materials from previous sessions. The new phrase for today is: "please give me a glass of water", the homework is to write: "my birthday is ...." 5 times. For Student 2, we first reviewed numbers 1-10, her memory is getting better and better, then we did "body parts" games with an added "head". Then we learned numbers 11-20. we also reviewed the vocab from last session. Finally we learned how to say and write new vocab: bug, big and small. Homework is to finish the worksheet."
"I first reviewed with Student 1 his social studies homework on Andrew Jackson. I then taught Student 2 a new grammatical construction, using the word 'bie,' which forms the negative imperative. I gave him a few example sentences and had him come up with a few on his own."
"The third tone sandhi, the sandhi of bu, yes-no question, the sentence with the adjective predicate, and the text two in Lesson Two were introduced in the session. The student was very talented language learner. The student was encouraged to practice writing and reading the basic Chinese characters in Lesson One and Two."
