Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student did really well today. We continued with irregular preterite verbs, using her study guide as a resource throughout the session. The student confuses irregular stem changers in the present tense and the preterite tense sometimes, but we will work on that more next session. It is a matter of practice and drilling. The student has a final exam on Friday and we will meet twice between now and then to continue our review of irregular preterite, stem changing verbs in past and present tense, and negative expressions. She may also need some help with pero, sino, and sino que. Overall, she is doing a great job!"
"In this session, we continued working on Spanish. The student had a review packet, covering conjugations of "gustar" and "querer," and answering questions using both verbs. He has improved in his understanding of Spanish pronouns and verb conjugations. I was also happy to see that he remembered maybe 80-90% of the vocabulary (personalities and physical traits) we reviewed last week."
"The student and I went over new vocabulary related to getting ready for the day such as breakfast items, getting dressed, showering, etc. We also practiced writing sentences using her vocabulary words and new verbs and reviewed with flash cards. I reached out to her English teacher on what she will need to focus on for reading "To Kill a Mockingbird.""
