Then, I had a very patient teacher who helped me figure out how I could learn math, and it was like the wall crashed down. Curran ...gradually as you become able to take on more and more difficult cognitive tasks on your own. I tutor all levels of French. My favorite subject to tutor is beginning French because learning a foreign language is messy and silly and scary and fun but incredibly rewarding, especially when one first starts. Besides watching French movies and Skyping my French friends, my hobbies are choral singing, reading, yoga, and practicing American Sign Language.... Every student can succeed with the right support. I believe in meeting a student where she is and helping her climb up, step by step, until she reaches her goal. I will not do for a student what she can do herself because I want to foster independence. However, I will never give a student a task for which she is unequipped. Furthermore, learning is fun and tutoring sessions with me will be joyful as I bring my infectious passion and excitement about the content to every session.
