"We went over Newton's three laws of motion. The student did very well and was able to explain and apply concepts with ease."
"We worked on unit conversions and memorizing the common measurement terms found in physics and their corresponding exponent values as she will need to convert to the correct form for each equation she uses when solving for velocity, acceleration, force, work, energy, and other variables found in kinematics equations. We charted nano, milli, normal base ten, and kilo on a chart along with their power of ten for her to memorize. I told her to try to remember that "Nano=Negative Nine" and then all she had left to remember was that milli is negative three while kilo is positive three. She said this would help, and we practiced converting between the different forms by step by step unit cancellation problem set-up. She quickly got the hang of the unit conversions, and I am confident that she will be able to use them to help her solve her problems. We also heavily reviewed significant figures and which digits count and do not count with each calculation. There was also a review on the standard form of a line, where to find the slope, what the slope represents in the equation, and how to use this information in the equations to find the values that they have asked for."
"We started from chapter one in the student's book. It was an introduction to the scientific method, so we moved on to vectors and scalars. We discussed Force and how to calculate the net force."
