Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"I covered a review for her upcoming test. We covered Pythagorean theorem, the formula for a circle, midpoint formula, etc. She was excited about learning new and old materials. I'm confident she will do well."
"The student and I worked on more inscribed circle problems. There were 5 major formulas necessary to complete the problems assigned. The student was able to show me that he can solve these types of problems on his own with the formulas! The student finished up the session well and showed me he understands these concepts. We also worked on finding the area of sectors of a circle. I wrote out step by step instructions for him to follow and using those he was able to do almost the entire sheet on his own."
"Worked on Geometric Probabilities. We reviewed the chapter section and worked on all the written exercises that were assigned by the teacher for the student to complete. The student demonstrated understanding of the topic and successfully completed assignments."
"We went through her geometry worksheet. It was about surface areas and how to calculate it. I explained different ways that she can find the answers and we solved several problems together. She understood them and she is doing good."
"The student completed some of her homework over calculating surface area. The biggest concern is understanding surface areas of composites, but I believe she will be able to visualize the shapes better to determine which faces are exposed that contribute to surface area."
"The student had a worksheet to do about circles in coordinate geometry. There were examples, followed by exercises, of finding the equation of a circle, finding the standard equation of a circle, finding the radius of a circle given the coordinates of the center and of a point on the circle, and of graphing a circle, after using equations to find the radius. We worked through these. He is motivated to do well in this because he wants to be a computer engineer."
