"The student and I focused on multiplication tables and adding fractions with different denominators. She did a super job."
"Great session! Concepts covered: patterns, number bonds, adding parts, subtracting parts, place value, money equivalencies, counting by 5s and 10s."
"The student and I reviewed her vocabulary for her spelling test tomorrow. She had a little trouble remembering how to spell a few words like "field," "speaks," "freeze." But after some repetition, she was able to get through the list with no problems. We also worked on her supplementary vocabulary provided by her mother. Afterwards, we worked on subtraction and grouping numbers, as well as a quick review of her multiplication."
"The student and I spent some time summarizing a science article that she had read for school. Then we spent time practicing math subtraction facts."
"Working with number recognition and word form of numbers. Adding in practice book, and counting tiles."
"Today, the student and I practiced oral counting and the alphabet. We also covered a phonics review of long and short "o" and completed a dot-to-dot puzzle to 50. We worked on pencil and crayon grip strengthening."
"Today we reviewed two post tests from the beginning of the year. The student was able to ask questions and get a better grasp on the concepts."
"We did some homework involving converting fractions and decimals into percentages. We addressed his penchant for sloppy handwriting, which further confused him as a division problem grew more complicated. He started writing neater and he realized it was easier to solve because he does not spend time to reinterpret what he wrote."
"We began by looking at the review sheet I left the student the previous Thursday. I graded and discussed it with him. He showed improvement in doing "fill in the blank" problems with equations on both sides of the equal sign. We reviewed two pages of homework, which focused on understanding multiplication through addition. We concluded by doing multiplication flash cards."
"Today, we covered some topics that were in the student's work book. They included addition and subtraction, counting by 1's, 2's, and 10's"
"Today we reviewed chapter 2 in his text book. We discussed working with decimals. He did very well adding, subtracting, and comparing decimals. He had a little trouble multiplying and dividing, knowing the correct placement of the decimal in the answer. We went over the mid chapter review, and worked on the state test practice questions. We also reviewed the metric system. He said he is studying it in science also. After the review, he did well converting between units."
"The student and I worked on her homework in math. We also went over her multiplication and division facts. She is sharper than I've seen her in the past."
