"We went over log and ln for her test. We also worked on the sample test her teacher gave her. She worked a lot of examples and we delved into those problems where she had questions and came up with strategies to easily solve them."
"We prepared for his upcoming final in his math class. The student is well prepared for all of the material and seems comfortable with the subject matter. Next trimester he will be enrolled in precalculus for which I feel he is well prepared."
"During this session, the student and I went over some of his homework and then worked on his times tables. His homework was about multiplying decimals. He seemed to have a good handle on the material. He has a love for science and I told him how important math is to science."
"The student and I covered adding mixed numbers and some of the problems involved converting mixed numbers with improper fractions into simpler mixed numbers. We covered comma use, and we covered Vikings in his social studies. He needed help with the Vikings research. He was positive. He got his work done well, and there were no problems."
"Student A: We worked on vocabulary and adding and subtracting with coins. She is looking forward to a reading rainbow book, and eating more goldfish. Student B: He is reading a reading rainbow (Dr. Seuss) book and counting with goldfish. He counted the fish then circled the corresponding number. He then counted the chickens with Curious George. He was able to circle the correct number that corresponded to the amount of goldfish. He is getting better at counting and recognizing numbers. He was very motivated by the goldfish. He also reviewed vocabulary, using objects in the room. He listened to an audio clip and identified the shapes being discussed."
"We worked on multiplying fractions. The student was understanding the computation. We will continue to use manipulatives and the whiteboards to help show the process as well."
