Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went over characteristics of parallelograms. The student just needed a review of the basic aspects of the quadrilateral and how to apply the concepts algebraically. The student had no problem proving the existence of parallelograms based on characteristics, nor using said aspects to solve certain basic algebra problems. I introduced a system which included finding slopes and using guess and check to determine necessary coordinates to complete a parallelogram. After introducing the system, the student was able to complete some problems with assistance, but could use more practice to cement the ideas. Besides that, the student felt comfortable with the rest of the material."
"We worked on the student's homework coverings similar triangles. She seems to have a firm grasp on the topics. After completing her homework, we looked ahead to the next sections covering applications of similar triangles and indirect measurement."
"The student and I covered his homework that is due tomorrow. As we began to go over some of the topics, I am beginning to discover how geometry is being taught to him at the moment. He has a good foundation of understanding."
"We covered new chapter that includes quadratic equations and radical. We reviewed the problem set 1. The student knows how to do it and we encountered no problems."
"The student and I reviewed in preparation for her upcoming test. Topics covered included proving and verifying similar polygons and triangles and the properties of similar triangles."
"Today we reviewed material for the student's test on Monday, then we went over material he will be covering next week."
