Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We did test one material review. We covered atomic number, stoichiometry, acid base reactions, chemical equation balancing, rate equations, and solubility."
"During this session we covered general chemistry topics such as determining electron configurations for given elements, the differences between ionic and covalent bonds, polarity, dipoles, how to assign the correct VSEPR shapes to molecules, and determining a compound's intermolecular force. The student understood the topics fairly well after I made some connections to real-life objects/processes and after we tried a couple practice problems together."
"I reviewed stoichiometry problems that she had for homework the night before. She had told me that she answered the problems but did not exactly understand the concept. I explained to her why each conversion was used and how to go about thinking of problems like these. She seemed to understand the concepts by the end of the worksheet. We also went over problems regarding finding the limiting reagents in a reaction. She had a great understanding of these types of problems."
