Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We covered kinematic equations and their application in linear and projectile problems. We also reviewed problems from old homework."
"We worked in Excel and made graphs for the student's physics work. We reviewed and answered questions about his current lab and started looking at upcoming labs and work for physics and bio."
"I went over several concepts regarding uniform circular motion and gravitation today. I see that the student has a good command over the material already. I plan on structuring our lessons with an eye for test taking skills. I feel confident that he will do very well in this course."
"The student has a make-up test on heat, thermodynamics, and engine efficiency on Friday. He had taken a picture of his original test and we went over most of the questions. After clarifying the topics and reviewing the questions, he had a better understanding of the content. He also worked on problems from the book that I felt were very similar to the exam questions (it seems his instructor borrows question formats from problems in his textbook). He was engaged and attentive during the session."
"The student is learning about electric circuits and series and parallel combinations of resistors. I showed her the rules of complex circuits, taking potential back to parallel combinations and current back to series, and she was able to understand with a little practice."
"We went over the roller coaster worksheet that the student found. Halfway through, I came up with a problem that helped him work through an issue he was having with the worksheet. I will be making similar problems on the worksheet that I will be sending later."
