"The student and I worked on the English section; she had completed a couple of passages on her own, and we did a passage together. She had about one wrong per passage which is an improvement from before and hopefully indicates an upward trend that will continue as she finishes the rest of the section on her own. We also reviewed how to write a good essay, and brainstormed two essays together creating complex arguments for them. We did two science passages as well to make sure she remembered the techniques we covered previously. At first, she struggled a bit, so we reviewed how to read graphs carefully and maximize time on this section. We also did a reading natural science passage. Lastly, we quickly did the last two pages of the math section. We will do more math review next time. For homework, I assigned the rest of the passages so she could practice how to answer ACT questions."
"An ACT assessment in Math and English was conducted by assigning 30 problems to be completed in 30 minutes (math). He was able to complete the math and English problems in the allotted time."
"Science practice. The science section is the student's strongest, and she needed very little guidance while working through the problems. We talked about general strategies for these problems."
