"He came prepared for the session with a study guide sheet and questions that will be on his test on Monday. He is being tested on the imparfait and passe compose. He had questions regarding how to understand when the imparfait is used instead of the passe compose and vice versa. After a few examples, he seemed to remember how to use the passe compose and imparfait and was able to describe to me why each was used. I also explained that anytime he was unsure which to use he could also look in the sentence for key words such as Les + (day of the week), toujours, souvent, de temps en temps, etc. which would make the word imparfait. Then we discussed regular and irregular verbs and how to conjugate them in the passe compose. We also discussed the House of Being and the DR. MRS. VANDERTRAMP acronym to remember when to use etre as a helping verb in the passe compose and which of theses words were irregular as well. Then we worked on conjugating irregular verbs in the Passe compose and imparfait."
