"We focused specifically on calculating Taylor series expansions of functions, as well as how to determine the radius and interval of convergence from a Taylor series expansion by applying the ratio test. We also talked about the process of checking the endpoints of the interval of convergence for a Taylor series. During the session, the student had a bit of a breakthrough moment, seeing the connection between the underlying concept of interval of convergence and the application of the ratio test to a power series."
"We focused on reviewing integrating using the antiderivative formulas and the Riemann sum. We also went through the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus and the derivative Mean Value Theorem. We used some simple functions that we could solve using our antiderivative rules to prove the Fundamental Theorem and the Riemann sum approximation. The student is doing well with the antiderivative rules to find definite and indefinite integrals of functions, and she is becoming more comfortable using both parts of the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus."
