"As a warm-up, student had to match restaurant vocabulary, (words and phrases and questions) with English counter-part. Then had to categorize vocabulary in three situations where they would use or hear these words in phrases (when arriving at the restaurant, placing an order for food/drink and paying the bill). Reviewed emotions by completing a handout and another way to ask how someone feels. Conversation about past day's activities. Introduced schedule to student and how to ask someone about their schedule and inviting someone to go out."
"The student and I worked on several reading, listening, writing and speaking activities. Subjects that we worked on this week were descriptions of people and how to tell time. My recommendations for him are/were to slow down when he is working on assignments."
"While reviewing vocabulary, we also focused on writing and breaking up Spanish words syllabically. We also continued to preview and practice present progressive tense."
"Focused on identifying the gender and plurality of nouns and how to apply adjectives that agree with the nouns they're modifying, created adjective charts, worked through a handout and concluded with a quiz, reviewing verbal conjugations."
"The student and I focused on chapter 19, the mu-iota conjugation and associated verbs. Numerous compound verbs were analyzed with their prefixes and roots and shades of meaning. We translated a few sentences from a section describing the ministry and martyrdom of the Apostolic Father Polycarp of Smyrna. We went over a translation strategy of grouping participial phrases using endings for the case demanded by that participle."
