Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today, we finished working on the topics that the student struggled the most with on the final by covering circles and systems of equations. We did homework problems for both. We covered the strategies of how to solve the problems as well as how to avoid making mistakes. We also made a schedule for the time leading up to the bypass exam as to what we will work on in the tutoring sessions and what he will work on by himself."
"During the session, the student and I went over a practice exam and related topics for his final. We covered polar to rectangular conversion, logarithms, and exponentials. He was able to follow along very well."
"The student sent me screen shots of her practice final exam on Sunday, so I was able to work through some of the problems and was prepared to review them with her. We worked through the problems that she had questions about or needed clarification on and simultaneously reviewed some of the most common topics (e.g., linear equations, quadratic equations, trig identities, unit circle). Her final exam is tomorrow."
"Today's session with the student went well. She worked on problems with variance and standard deviation. These problems were for her homework that is due at the end of the week and she was able to get almost all of it done."
"We went through the final exam study guide his teacher presented, after a short review of the work the student did on the first few sections of the review set I constructed. We worked together to create the beginnings of the note card he'll use for the exam."
"The student has many exams in math this month. We focused on the most rapidly approaching. The present topic is differentiation. I'm focusing on the algebra aspect mostly."
