Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went over vectors (force and displacement), distance, velocity, ave velocity, constant acceleration (gravity); and solved many problems in these areas. Then we went on to solve two dimensional projectile motion problems."
"Spanish homework: Exercises 25+28 on pg. 26-27, due Friday. Science worksheet on matter, physical, chemical change. Worked on idea for extra credit on elements. Health project is due next week. Graded grammar."
"The student needed to study for his World History final. We went through his review packet topic by topic and term by term. He stated that he needed an 80 on the final to pass the semester. Thus, we spent extra time on the packet going over terms that seemed vague to him more than once."
"The student and I covered the naming of compounds, and reviewed Lewis dot structures. We also covered VSEPR theory, and the shape that molecules adopt. "
"We discussed his law homework, and reviewed the process for notes. We also went over effective note-taking strategies in conjunction with good study skills."
"The student completed a learning activity related to economics, and the primary concepts focused on the following: unemployment, the definitions (and calculations) for the labor force, labor participation, unemployment and employment rates, types of unemployment that can exist (including frictional, structural, and cyclical), the "natural" rate of unemployment and what occurs at that point, unemployment and inflation, and several inflation concepts. These were all topics that were not completely covered in his class yet; however, going through these questions in advance is always good practice and gives him a preview and early assessment on areas he can study in more detail."
