Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Corrected homework. Reviewed unfinished assignments. Used prolonged conversation in Spanish to practice the preterite, and the irregular "ir". Engaged in games to practice numbers up to 100 and verb conjugation."
"Yesterday we reviewed lessons 1, 2 and 3. We did certain scenarios to practice common phrases used at work. We also practiced numbers, colors and personal pronouns. We walked around the yard and did practice exercises out there as well. Homework is being sent via e-mail."
"In this session we began reviewing nouns and the articles that go with them. We also reviewed how to identify masculine and feminine nouns and when to use the definite and indefinite pronouns. The student's only assignment for the night was to review the nouns and the verbs he learned previously."
"Today, the student and I worked on his Spanish speaking final project. We reviewed his chapter 6, 7, 8, 9, & 10 vocabulary, and wrote conversations for each chapter. We reviewed the tenses (Preterite, subjunctive, imperfect, present, future etc.), and we worked on correct pronunciation. The student and his partner need to practice speaking and memorizing their conversations."
"In this session we stressed on conversation in complete sentences. This will be the major goal for each session, until it becomes second nature to the student. It is still challenging to the student because he is not used to using verbs or talking in full sentences, but it will become easier every time with practice. We also studied the alphabet. We learned the alphabet song in Spanish, and drew objects for each letter. His homework is to memorize the pronunciation of each letter. He was alert and participated for the full hour."
"We worked again with ser and estar conjugations and use in sentences, and connecting to pronouns. We did an overall review of pronoun groups and worked with tener and related expressions. Homework with tener and free form sentence creation."
