Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I continued to work on her chemistry packets. We covered stoichiometry, limiting reactants/excess reactants, and percent yield. Progress was great, as usual. The student was able to understand the material very easily."
"The student and I returned to a song that we had worked on previously in addition to learning a new one called "Over You". She was able to play through just about both of them by the end of the lesson. She gets better every week. She's also starting to notice similarities between different songs so that she doesn't have to relearn strumming patterns or chord professions every week. That's a good thing to start learning!"
"The student and I went through his study material for his test. He was able to do all the math correctly. He occasionally use the wrong number in an equation, but the math was all correct. I asked him about how is grade got so low because he has been doing really well in our sessions and he said that he was rounding incorrectly the first part of the semester and was losing a lot of points that way. He said that he has spoken with his teacher and resolved that issue though. "
"Today the student and I covered material for his math test on Tuesday. We went over the study links, which included scale and distance on maps, number models with word problems, correcting true and false number equations, and filling in the blanks for equations. He did well but had trouble occasionally if he did not read the word problem correctly. He seems well prepared for his test and should do well."
"The student and I worked through the first couple sections of Chapter 10 in her book. We covered basic properties of simplifying square roots, operations with square roots, and introduced solving equations with square roots."
