"We discussed a study plan for the week before the test and spent a significant amount of time practicing for the math section."
"We went through the remaining improving sentence topics and practiced a fair amount of questions and drills. The student became more comfortable with subject / verb agreement."
"We met today for our first meeting after break. He took a practice ACT Math exam over the break and scored a 25, 7 points better than his previous practice score. I am proud to see he's made so much progress in such little time. We will dedicate this week to the ACT Reading portion, so we started right into that. We began by reading passages and answering questions from the ACT prep book. When he took the practice exam, he scored the best on reading and especially excelled on the Prose Fiction and Natural Sciences sections. However, when we went through the practice passages and questions, he seemed to perform better on the Social Studies and Humanities readings. After we completed all the prep book questions, we went online to find more questions. We made use of the practice tests. I noticed that he reads the entire passage then answers the questions. It's obvious that he works better with the reading-then-answering way of taking the ACT. After we completed a few tests, our time was up. I will see him on Wednesday for our next meeting. I look forward to it."
