Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today I reviewed a bit of test corrections and homework with Student 1. I spent the majority of the time working on a physics lab with Student 2. I showed her how to do all of the calculations in Excel and how to graph the required portions. She was thrilled, because about 6 hours of work was cut down to 1."
"We reviewed for a test in Physics. We also went over some topics for the student's Trigonometry class, specifically domain and range. By the end of the session, he was able to perform the exercises correctly."
"We used (one-dimensional) equations for position and velocity as functions of time, given constant acceleration to solve 8 of 9 problems in a multiple-choice online quiz handout. We clarified why each wrong answer was wrong, and practiced translating words into equations and vice versa. We explored the difference that initial conditions (such as Vo -- initial velocity) have on a trajectory. We looked at graphs of objects' paths and asked whether gravity, initial velocity, or some other force or phenomenon could explain them (e.g. a yo yo's, a rocket's, and a falling object's path)."
