Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student did problems on a worksheet to prepare for a pre-calculus test scheduled for tomorrow. We covered the following topics: distinguishable permutations, permutations, combinations, probabilities."
"We completed Lesson 15 of Unit 2 of Part 3, and the student is getting more comfortable using all trig identities."
"The student has an assessment tomorrow that will include the review topics of probability and box plots, as well as newer material on sequences and series. We started by refreshing the review topics, which she remembered fairly well (although was unsure what type of probability problems have appeared on assessments in the past). We then worked through several types of problems on sequences, particularly those she had trouble with on the last assessment, and finished by talking about series and associated formulas. She has a good start on this new material and says the formulas will be provided on the assessment."
"During this session we looked ahead to the next section of chapter 2.6 that the student is going to cover and then looked back to chapter one and went over some of the concepts that were still bugging him."
"Our main task was to prepare and review for the first test on chapters 1 and 2. We reviewed the material that was on the first quiz and laid out notes for the student to be able to refer back to. I also set her up with ways to help her be successful on her homework."
"The student has a quiz tomorrow on the beginning of chapter 3. It focuses on translating quadratic equations. She seems to understand how to invert equations and solve inequalities. She is going to practice solving for a line symmetry tonight."
