Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student & I worked through problems on three separate chapters in his book, including problems emphasizing strategy application in integrating functions and approximations of integrals with trapezoids and midpoint rectangles. When I work with him he is able to focus and engage and picks up meaningful information. He was left to finish the homework with a heightened awareness of the difference of functions and their forms, and how to effectively and efficiently integrate them."
"We worked through about 5 problems from his homework. The student knew about the elimination method of solving systems of equations, but I also showed him the substitution method, which he found helpful."
"The student and I covered the quadratic formula and its use for finding the real or complex roots of a quadratic equation. We complete the bookwork and online assignment related to this topic, then reviewed material from last week and examined how it tied into the new material."
"We covered topics the student was struggling with. This included system of equation word problems, graph behavior, determining a function from intercepts, projectile motion, and u substitution."
"Today, we reviewed binomial distributions. This will not be on the student's test, but he will see it starting next semester."
"Working on functions and how to graph information from data given. Getting better with past struggles, and able to get through problems more quickly and efficiently."
