Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student was having a test on monomial degrees and performing operations on polynomials. She did a practice quiz in class and understood all of the material. She did well overall. She needs more review for the word problems. Once we went through those, she seemed to understand the concepts well."
"The student started learning about the unit circle in class, and didn't need any help with his homework. We spent most of the lesson finishing arithmetic and geometric series. We will start logarithms next time. We also looked at the format for the new SAT."
"We covered the Law of Sines concepts from his Algebra II in preparation for his test tomorrow. The student readily grasped the Law of Sines concept from the online practice problems, but we took some time with the application to a real life problem-set taken from his class notes."
"The student and I worked on linear functions tonight in preparation for her test tomorrow. We discussed direct variation, and related concepts. She seems to understand her material well."
"Covered basic trig functions then moved on to SAT practice problems. The student a bit with the wording and logic of SAT problems, but we're working through it. I've given her some extra work to practice outside of session that we'll review when we meet again."
"The first student and I covered addition of decimals and long division and multiplication. The second student and I covered combination of algebraic terms like: r - 8x + r + 5x = 2r - 3x."
