"The student is reviewing for her chapter 6, 7, and 8 test. It involved integration, including basic antiderivatives, left and right sum, trapezoid rule, Simpson's rule, area between two curves, the fundamental theorem of calculus, first order differential equations, slope fields, integration by substitution or parts, L'Hopital's rule, and finding the volume by rotating a region about a specified axis using both the disc method and the shell method."
"We prepared for a geometry re-quiz the student has tomorrow. I am hoping he is able to follow my advice and look at problems logically in addition to just blindly following the formulas. It will reduce the amount of avoidable mistakes."
"We covered a complicated 3d geometry problem from one of the student's practice exams. It combined using Pythagorean Theorem, area of triangles, area of pyramids, and a lot of spatial thinking. He has a very positive attitude toward the material, and he is doing a good job at remembering things he's learned and applying them. For example, he was able to solve a system of equations for the problem we covered today. I asked him to finish the last step of the problem we covered and resolve it by himself before our next lesson tomorrow."
"When I arrived I introduced myself to the student. The purpose of this session was to help him study for his test tomorrow. We started reviewing some concepts of derivatives and integrals, and then we went through his practice list specifically on the exercises he was in doubt about. We covered the solution of integrals by substitution method, definite and indefinite, and a few applications. I checked his understanding, and he told me he understood everything. He seemed to be more confident with the material given in class."
"We covered past FRQs involving related rates, differential equations, and the fundamental theorem of calculus. The student is quite good at differential equations and finding tangent lines. He was receptive to my instruction."

He did well with this concept and understood it based on what he did in class. His math teacher called home to say that he's improving in class and that his confidence has really been boosted since we've started working together!"
