Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We started today's session with the student's social studies homework. He had to read a story about Greek Gods and answer both multiple choice and short answer questions. We then worked on preparing him for the ELA. He read passages and answered multiple choice questions. Lastly, we practiced for the listening and writing aspect of the ELA. He needs to continue practicing note taking when we work on listening comprehension."
"We focused on assignments that the student had due this week. We began work on his vocabulary assignment that was based on the root "flu" and "flux". We then worked on a comprehension packet that he was assigned. It covered vocabulary in context, understanding sentences, and comprehension for longer passages."
"We started the session by working through a homework sheet from school. Then we went on to our books entitled Six-Way Paragraphs. These are probably among the most popular books to work through when it comes to comprehension exercises. The student did pretty well with the books and is eager to complete more of these exercises next week. I'm glad to have him as my student. He is very well behaved for me and I think that he will go far."
