Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student did some problems on his own, and he asked me questions on certain problems. It was mostly on section 1 related to finding the area under the curve using right ended-rectangles, left-ended rectangles, and using the midpoint. We also moved to section 2 using the power rule method to calculating the integral of various functions."
"The student and I were preparing for her second test in Calculus. We reviewed higher order derivatives, logarithmic differentiation and optimization problems."
"Today the student and I covered optimization in her calculus homework. She definitely was getting better at it as we went on."
"Concepts covered included reviewing for the unit 5 test, with slope, functions and linear functions. The student did struggle with functions, but after practice she performed well! The student has shown improvement."
"Most of our session focused on linear inequalities and related math concepts. The student was allowed to choose between several activities/topics for the last 20 minutes of the session and she decided to spend some time on history. We explored some aspects of currency as a driving force for historical events."
"For this session, we did a review of topics the student covered in class. We paid special attention to quadric surfaces and the geometry of planes and lines in three dimensions. We went over a few practice problems, and I left him with resources to use to continue his studies."
