Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We worked on a math worksheet about means, mode, and medians. Then I helped the student look over his PowerPoint on Shakespeare for a presentation he's making on Wednesday."
"We prepared for her upcoming test on dividing decimals. We went over dividing decimals, and I introduced her to the concept of converting fractions into decimals."
"We went over the math homework (sequences, arithmetic and geometric) and science homework. This is the last session with this student."
"We covered classifying angles, measuring with a protractor, time, temperature, and weight. The student did well with all the concepts covered. She also completed the first administration of the 5th grade mathematics assessment exam. She felt she did well on today's exam. She will continue to practice to prepare for the 6th grade. Her attitude was very positive. It was a productive session."
"The student recently had a test on line plots and bar graphs. She says that she felt very confident about this exam. As a result, during this session, we spent our time reviewing ahead on the addition and subtraction of complex positive and negative integers. She is comfortable with the addition of complex integers."
"The student spent half of the time working on a page in her packet that covered a mixture of multiplication, division, fractions, and application questions of division and multiplication. The rest of the time was utilized to memorize multiples of 7's and 8's. By next week, once she has mastered multiples of 6's and 12's, she should have a pretty good handle on multiplication from 1-12. She has made significant progress and gained a lot of confidence since starting our sessions together."
