Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The girls had their math exams moved to this week. So we went back over each of the girl's reviews and made sure that they remembered everything. The first student is struggling with graphing a bit but she overall seems to understand the material and concepts that will be covered. The second student is having no problems whatsoever and was able to get through her review work with minimal input from me."
"The student and I reviewed Chapter 3 of his Algebra textbook, and problems involving proportions and word problems. We discussed how to pay close attention when he is solving problems to ensure his accuracy."
"Explained linear functions in chapter 4 and went through some online problems (in paper form) as well as test prep work."
"In today's session we solved quadratic equations using the quadratic formula and the isolation method. The student has a strong understanding of these concepts but needs to pay careful attention to the details so as to not rush to quickly through the problems."
"The student worked on completing the square, and the conversion between vertex form, factored form, and general form. We went over word problems for completing the square (+other forms of equations). We then practiced brainstorming for the English portion of the test, and practiced with refutation paragraphs in argumentative essays."
"Worked with the student on graphing trigonometric problems. She has a great idea of how to do them. We worked ahead and went over a word problem example."
