Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Went through her old homework to help prepare her for her exam. Her understanding of the material is very good."
"We worked through problems from chapter 6.4. We practiced converting from polar to rectangular equations and graphing polar equations."
"We covered law of sines and law of cosines, and the strategies to solve them. The student felt confident with the material, so we reviewed trig identities and the related problems and the unit circle. She felt like she did well on her homework but didn't do well on the test. We will continue to review those concepts moving forward. I assigned her extra practice from her book, doing some of the even problems and focusing on material from her test that she did not do well on. Moving forward, we will make sure we have a solid review-only session before each test, one where we have no new material, just review. I will also make more effort to review past homework at the beginning of our sessions so I can see firsthand her progress and catch misunderstanding earlier."
"We reviewed for an upcoming test by going over problems involving the topics of angles and trigonometric functions. By the end of the session, the student was able to solve the problems correctly."
"The student and I worked on polynomial division today and the remainder theorem. We went over some problems and worked on methods of solution."
"The test from last week got moved to Monday. We reviewed more trig problems where the student had to find the exact value using identities to simplify the equation first. We also reviewed identity proof questions."
