Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"In this session, I helped the student prepare for her physics exam (which will also be her class final). We also reviewed concepts and did practice problems in the areas she had wanted additional review on."
"In today's session, we covered conservation of momentum, conservation of energy, kinetic and potential energy, work, and power."
"In today's session, we reviewed Newton's second law and all topics covered prior this week in preparation for the student's exam. We went over homework assignments and critiqued her problem-solving process."
"Today, we worked on circular motion, with a brief review of forces and kinematics. The student's attitude was positive throughout the session, and he remained engaged in the material. I included strategies for visualizing these concepts and how to determine where to begin the calculations. I referred the student to a practice problems website for extra practice."
"In order to prepare the student for her upcoming final exam, we looked over a set of practice problems, specifically chosen by her professor, that focused on change of enthalpy, energy of photons, and endothermic/exothermic reactions. To approach this, we touched on various problems to make sure we discussed as many topics as possible. This was of great help to her, as she was very proficient with all of her practice problems by the end of the session. Change of enthalpy seemed especially confusing for her, but after I guided her through a couple, she had little trouble. I wish her luck on her upcoming exam, and it seems she will do very well."
"We covered fermentation, differences in cell structure and function, cell theory, polar vs nonpolar, solute vs solvent in solutions, digestion, surface tension, and other various biology topics and questions. We also reviewed some practice problems on key information on the digestive system topics. In addition, I used visuals and diagrams to explain the topics covered."
