"We worked on repeating grammar and vocabulary from chapter 2 of the student's French manual to prepare him for his French test on Monday. I explained to him which verbs conjugated with etre. We went over the theory of accordance of those verbs with subject's number and gender in passe compose. I prepared a number of exercises for him to practice his knowledge. We also worked on negation and repeated exercises for direct and indirect pronouns."
"Since it was our first session, I asked some questions about the student's past experience with French to gauge her level. Her information had stated she wanted to brush up on her French for an upcoming trip to France. Therefore, I also asked questions about what she will be doing there, how she will be getting around, and what her goals are in order to project what we should cover and focus on in our lessons. We reviewed asking where something is "Ou est/ou sont" plus some vocabulary of places around town she may need to find and street names (rue, avenue, boulevard, chemin, allee). I explained that street names are flipped in English; the "rue/avenue/boulevard" is at the beginning of the street name. I also discussed and answered questions on the differences between cafes, restaurants, and other types of eateries she may encounter. I mentioned that tips are not necessary in France but that it is customary to round the bill up to the nearest Euro. I also provided some information on French public toilets."
"Another really great session with the student! We covered a lot of French grammar through the student's homework and practiced French as we went along! The student is doing so great! Always look forward to our every session!"
