Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I studied for her test tomorrow over the gas laws. She did not have time to work on the extra problems from last week, so she still has those if she needs extra work. We mainly worked on basic test skills for this unit, like pulling out the variables and assigning the correct formula to solve the problem. She feels very confident for this test."
"Yesterday, the student and I covered more of chemical kinetics and began collision theory. We worked several problems and have progressed through a PowerPoint I found online for free. We have switched styles to where we work some problems, I point out the main points, then she works some problems and tells me her thought process. I think this is very helpful in finding out what she thinks when confronted by a question and how she comes to a solution. These sessions are getting better and better, and I think she is still a fantastic learner!"
"The student and I covered Chapter 49 MC questions. There tested our knowledge and application of brain structure. We reviewed the spatial organization of brain regions and the role of various neurotransmitters for specific normal and disease processes. We spent the remainder of the time reviewing Chapter 47: animal development. We covered sea urchins, frogs, chickens, and humans."
