Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"In this session, we covered oscillations, specifically simple harmonic motion and pendulums. The student has an excellent grasp on the concepts we covered."
"The student and I went back over her first semester work in preparation for her final on Thursday. The test is cumulative, so we're going to work on second semester material tomorrow."
"We studied interference phenomena and did some problems that are part of the student's assignments due in one week. He will work on the remaining assignments next time and plan an attack for the final. He seems to know the structure well. I will focus on understanding the concepts so that he will be able to correctly pick the relevant equations."
"Today the student and I worked on her final homework assignment for physics. It consisted of 75 questions, and she really wanted to get through the whole assignment. She rushed a few times and didn't take the time to think the problem through before submitting an answer, but for the most part she knows what to do once she can find the relevant information in the reference table. She finished the assignment with about 20 minutes to spare, and we spent the last 20 minutes studying a test she has tomorrow on Modern Physics."
"Today was the last review session before the final on Friday. We started by covering some of the topics the student covered in the last week or so of class. This amounted to concepts in nuclear physics. We then spent the remainder of the session going over the concepts and ideas likely to appear on the final, focusing on electromagnetism. As the final is on Friday, this will be our last session. Good luck moving forward."
"We covered electricity today during our session. The student seemed to struggle to understand some the basic concepts when we started, but by the end was showing real comprehension of electricity and electrostatics. She had a great attitude and was a hard worker. We are all set for another session to learn magnetism and waves."
