Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We reviewed how to combine fractional expressions with multiple variables. I also reviewed with him how to find an LCD and use it to solve fractional equations with variables. After that, we reviewed graphing and how to find vertical and horizontal asymptotes. We did a few practice problems, and I felt confident he understood the concepts."
"We did a project for her math class. Given a basic, incomplete description of a roller coaster, we used methods to find equations that matched the roller coaster then graphed the equations. We also described and found key aspects of the graph, and she then wrote about them. We also solved polynomials involving radicals."
"The student and I covered polynomial long division and synthetic division as well as Descartes' rule of signs and the zeroes of a polynomial theorem. We reviewed these concepts in detail, and he seemed to grasp them. We then went through his homework and highlighted problems that put these concepts to use. Our next session will be tomorrow, and we will go over his test and new concepts/homework."
"We worked on graphing circles given the standard and general equations. She seems like she has a good grasp of the concepts."
"During this session, the first half of a study guide was reviewed, covering units 1 and 2 of the course."
"Today we reviewed for the student's math final. She did very well. I know if she continues to work as hard as she has been working she will do great!"
