Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"This was a great session. The student brought back questions from the homework she did from last session. We identified flaw questions as one of her weaknesses and I gave her the solution to fixing that problem (studying the list of flaws). She should continue with practice tests and reviewing explanations to further identify weaknesses and gain as much experience from the test as possible."
"The student and I spent most of the session reviewing questions he missed on the LR sections of his latest PT. We worked on diagramming LR questions, paying close attention to detail and simplifying our diagrams as much as possible. It looks like the student has a great handle on the test and just needs a little more practice taking his time on a few kinds of LR questions and diagramming those questions correctly so he doesn't slip up on test day."
"The student has scored in the mid-150's on practice tests. We spent most of our time reviewing the student's incorrect answers from a reading comprehension section. We also discussed general tips and cautions for that section and the logical reasoning section."
"This was my first session with the student. We worked on logic questions together and I walked her through techniques on pulling information out of the conditions and making visuals such as tables to organize the information. The key will be repetitive practice."
"The student is doing well, reaching her target score on most prep tests. We went through several Reading Comp together. She is much more comfortable with these than before, finishing within time and getting most, if not all, the questions right. We discussed her schedule for her last week, and she agreed to work as hard as possible before the test."
"Since our last session, the student had a chance to do a practice LSAT. While he didn't time himself strictly, it was still useful for diagnosing some of the problems he's having. We worked primarily on Logic Games today, introducing the step-by-step method he's going to use to attack the games, using two games from the test. Between now and next session, he's going to continue reviewing the exam with explanations online and do a few logic games using the three-pass method we discussed."
