Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We worked on inequalities and absolute value linear equations and inequalities. The student is doing really well with the general concept, but she sometimes forgets to flip the inequality signs or little things like that. Because she already knew most of the information, we made a key points sheet to just put the reminders that she needed to be successful. She seemed pretty confident going into her test Wednesday, so we'll check in on that next week. I did see that she got an A on her last inequalities quiz. She seems to be doing very well. I've been very impressed by her commitment and her improvement."
"The student wanted to practice some more logarithmic and exponential equations for his upcoming quiz, and later exam on this subjects. Therefore, basically the whole session was focused on solving equations involving logarithms, graphing them, and finding their inverse problems from a study guide he has. We worked all the problems, and conclusively, I encouraged him to keep practicing even more, since that is the only way to get used to this kind of problems."
"We followed a study guide for the student's test, and we were able to go over setting up equations using graphs, and then used graphs to tell us about patterns in equations. I taught her tricks to manipulate equations more easily and how to check her answers, will still doing the problems more quickly and effectively. I think this session helped tie up any loose ends she had before the test!"
"Both sessions the student worked on her homework. Her homework grade is improving. She seems to understand the homework. She is entering the chapter with slopes and functions."
"The student had math homework we went over today. His math homework covered solving for two variables using substitution and graphing two lines to solve for the intersection. He is very comfortable with math."
"We studied for the upcoming midterm. We went over inequalities some more and did practice problems. We worked on study tips and organizational techniques to better prepare for midterms. We also touched on topics from earlier in the semester. The student made big strides this session and continues to show improvement with each session."
