Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I covered the first 70 or 80 pages of the PowerScore Logic Games Bible. This provided an overview of the PowerScore methodologies."
"Today was my first session with the student. Based on his diagnostic exam, I gathered that he could use some improvement in all three graded areas of the admissions test. I wanted to develop his comfort with the logic games section today and chose this section as the area of primary focus for today's session. We worked on several simple linear games. For most of them, I asked him to attempt them first, allotting ten minutes for each one, and then we reviewed each game together. At the beginning, he struggled with them. As the session progressed, he began making fewer errors in diagramming the rules given. I asked him what he'd prefer to focus on during that final session, he chose grouping games."
"During our final session, we worked through a "simulated" logic games section from a modern exam. We reviewed most of the strategies focused on along the way, paying particular attention to time management and game setup techniques. We finished with a fifth game, used as an example of a high-difficulty sequencing game with numerical distribution elements."
