Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I covered counting from 1-10; 11-50; how to say hundred and thousand; how to order food and beverages (as well as names of Chinese dishes) at restaurants; measurement words and pairing them with the correct object; introductions; thank you and apologies; how to ask the price of something; and how to answer them in correct amounts. We discussed the exercises that the student should practice in the book and which conversations/sentences she should practice saying out loud."
"Reviewed vocab words with the student, and practiced writing the characters. Worked on a homework worksheet. Dialogue- questions and answers about places he has visited. I did the same with student two, and then we worked on 2 workbook pages. Both students need to practice writing the vocab words in Chinese for the test/quiz coming up."
"We found a topic about housing for today's session. I gave him a link to a website to practice his listening and we will talk about it in the next session. I had him say the sentence in English first and then let him to translate the sentence word by word by himself. This could help him to understand better because he is using his own knowledge to fix the problem."
