Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today, the student and I went over the concept of Caesar ciphers and how they worked. For his assignment, he was supposed to write a program that figures out a Caesar cipher based on the most frequent letters used in the cipher, and then write the plaintext to the screen. We worked on the assignment by using various arrays and nested for loops. It was somewhat of a complicated assignment which required some debugging. However, in the end we got it to work as it should. Overall, this was a good session."
"This session focused on review for the student's upcoming test as well as the completion of the assignment we worked on last time, using operator overloading and simple polymorphism. The student will need a little more practice using these concepts on his own, but while we reviewed for his test, he did show some mastery of the topics. During the test review, we worked on inheritance, polymorphism, constructors, UML for inheritance, and operator overloading techniques."
"We reviewed basic data types, assignment, and arithmetic. We discussed the chart data type, and discussed basic I/O using cout and cin."
